Folklore woven into fabric.
Ancient symbols carried into the street.
This is where the tide began.
The Folktide began with a single thread of belief — that the legends of the East deserved more than dust on a museum shelf. We grew up between two currents: the rituals of our ancestors and the raw pulse of street culture. So we pulled them together, and the tide became a brand.
Every print, every kanji, every silhouette is a choice — never decoration. The myths are alive in the cloth.
Dragons, oni, kitsune, tigers — they aren't motifs. They are codes. Each one carries a virtue: strength, mischief, discipline, courage. When you wear a Folktide piece, you wear the code.
We work with illustrators who study the source — ukiyo-e woodblocks, shrine carvings, ancestral tales — then translate them through ink, halftone, and contemporary cut.
Heavyweight cotton. Pigment-dyed and washed for the worn-in feel of a kept favorite. Garment-printed in small runs, with each pull of the screen checked by hand.
We don't chase trends. We don't drop and disappear. The pieces live in the catalog because the stories live in the culture.
Wear the symbol. Carry the story.浪潮 — THE FOLKTIDE
The tide doesn't end — it returns.
